General fiction submissions: September 28 through December 1, 2019

Nonfiction contest: November 9, 2019 through April 30, 2020

Fiction contest: December 14, 2019 through April 30, 2020

On the first day a submission/contest window is open, the option will appear in the list below.

An overview of our submission/contest guidelines: We are looking for previously unpublished work. Most pieces we publish are under 6,250 words. For fiction submissions and our fiction contest, we welcome short fiction, short shorts, and novel excerpts. (Novel excerpts must be readable as stand-alone pieces.)
